It’s the information age and gone are the days where people pop down to the library to research something. The Internet is where it’s at!

People turn to the Internet to solve problems, it could be solving the problem of settling an argument about what that actors name is in the film you’ve just watched or how you are going to get those scratches out of stainless steal, the internet is where people turn.

Information products, courses, software, audio or membership sites are the way many every day people are managing to set-up business on line, with no need for stock, a warehouse or distribution network it’s the ideal starter business.

With the Internet so widely accessed the reach a person has to people far and wide means the potential customers are endless.

So many people make that big mistake of trying to sell products not solutions!

“Buy my ebook on lawn care, the best lawn care advice – $19.99″

This doesn’t show the potential customer how it’s going to solve their problem!

“In the Lawn Care ebook you’ll learn the secrets to greener grass :-
With each training section having a series of images to show you just how to do it so you don’t waste time and money learning by your mistakes, meaning you will have a healthy, greener lawn in the fastest time – $19.99″

I haven’t the first idea about lawn care incidentally but the focus in your copy should be around how you are gong to solve someones problems in whatever niche you are in.

In statement 1 I’m being pitched an ebook with the best lawn care advice – that’s about as much as I know.

In statement 2 I know I’m getting images to make things EASIER TO UNDERSTAND I’m going to SAVE TIME AND MONEY and I’m going to have a beautiful lawn in THE FASTEST TIME.

In just a sentence I’m having my problems highlighted to me and shown how they will be resolved.

So the top tip of the day is stop selling and start solving problems.  The end product you are promoting remains the same but the way you think about it changes.
